The 12th annual Art & More for Shelter will take place on Thursday, April 29th as a hybrid event – virtual and in-person. Funds raised at the event will support central Iowa families experiencing homelessness through our two programs: New Directions Shelter, a 30-day emergency shelter and The Home Connection, a supportive housing program for homeless families with children.
The in-person event will be from 6 – 8 PM at Curate in the East Village and will feature catering by Taste-to-go, a cash bar, and a short program highlighting Hawthorn Hill’s successes and recognizing our partners over the last year. We will go live on our Facebook page at 7 PM to share the program portion of the evening for those who do not feel comfortable at an in-person event.
Silent auction bidding will open Monday, April 26th at 8:00 am, and close at 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 29th. Auction items include: a hot air balloon ride, a local foodie package, a downtown date night package and more!
